Priya Shahabi, IT Systems Engineer

“I’ve worked in IT for over 11 years, specialising in IT operations, cloud infrastructure, and systems engineering. My journey has taken me through a wide spectrum of technologies and challenges, giving me a deep understanding of how to build and maintain resilient, scalable systems that support business growth.

Before moving into enterprise IT, I worked as a wireless communications researcher and published several papers in internationally recognised journals, including Modern Applied Science, a highly prestigious Canadian publication. This research experience sharpened my analytical thinking and gave me a strong foundation in telecommunications and emerging technologies.

My academic background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a Master’s degree in Telecommunication Engineering. Most recently, I completed an advanced higher education programme with distinction, which marked a major milestone in my transition toward my dream role in cybersecurity.

I’m passionate about creating secure, efficient, and future-ready IT environments. What excites me most is the opportunity to contribute to a safer digital world—one where technology empowers people without compromising their privacy or security.
